Our live virtual tour commences near the resplendent palace of Condes Castro Guimarães, an astonishing architectural gem dating back to 1900 when Cascais held the title of the favored summer destination for royalty. Despite the end of the monarchy, Cascais continued to thrive throughout the 20th century, maintaining its significance.

Strolling along the main road, we'll marvel at the House of Santa Maria, the majestic lighthouse, and the 17th-century fortress that once played a pivotal role in defending the coastal area of this former fishing village.

Prepare to be captivated by the panoramic view of Cascais Bay, and we'll delve into the historical importance of its strategic geographical location, intricately linked to the capital city, a mere 30-minute drive away. You'll have the opportunity to observe the fishing boats, learn about the diverse fish species found here, and discover the reasons behind Cascais' mild climate.

As we make our way down, the road will be adorned with beautiful houses leading us to the main square, where the town hall stands proudly, and traditional Portuguese decorated sidewalks will undoubtedly leave you mesmerized.

Our enchanting experience culminates with a leisurely walk through the narrow streets and charming squares of Cascais, allowing you to gain a genuine sense of orientation in this delightful town.

  • Chris C. Acton MA, COA - Globetrotter

Ines was a fabulous guide! She is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, friendly, with impeccable English. The views and the beauty of the city were breathtaking, and she offered so much information about the historic and current day Cascais. She was very gracious in answering participant questions. When we logged off, everyone in the room was like "OK, when do we book our flights?!"

  • Grafton County Senior Citizens Council - Globetrotter

The tour was fantastic.  She was so easy to hear and very little background noise and wind sound.  Made us all want to go to Cascais!!!  Thanks so much.

The virtual Zoom tour of Cascais, Portugal with Ines was great! Ines was informative, she would pause to take questions from us or our clients,  and provided great views of what she was seeing & describing  - while also provided a slide or illustration of what a structure use to look like when it was originally built - all through Zoom! I hope to do another tour with Ines in the future. Thank you!
