Itinerary

Join us on a guided virtual tour of Edinburgh's famous graveyard. Greyfriar's Kirkyard is a fascinating, eerie and spooky place. The graveyard itself holds many interesting stories, from the paranormal to Harry Potter. It was a favourite place for body snatchers in the 18th century. It was home to Edinburgh's hero dog, Bobby. We will start the tour by his statue and the guide will tell you a touching story.

After we will take a walk around the graveyard and see the many Victoria grave stones. The graveyard also has an evil spirit who goes by the name of Bloody Mackenzie. His poltergeist is said to haunt a gated of area called the Covenanter's prison.

J K Rowlings spent quite a bit of time here and used the names on the Grave Stones for her first book. Such as MacGonagall and Thomas Riddell, aka Voldemort.

Then if time permits we will go to the Grassmarket nearby.
