Itinerary

Meet the animal friends and family at Fernhill Farm. From Misidore, the gigantic Percheron horse and gentle giant to Cherokee, the perky pony and tiniest little horse by comparison.  After meeting  some of the animals, most of whom come from disadvantaged backgrounds, we will get up close and personal with Cherokee, who arrived at our farm as a petrified pony and has now blossomed into a confident and playful companion to the other horses.  You will see how she is brushed, groomed and pampered and, finally, given her favourite treat for good behaviour at the end of her beauty treatment.

This experience is specifically tailored for young horse lovers and children who, for various reasons, would otherwise not have access to, or be able to interact with animals and, specifically, horses.

Cherokee and Moira Edmunds
Green Beyond Tours & Travel Co.

Moira has been an animal lover all her life and, as a child, it was her dream to own her own horse.  Now she has eight!

Over the last 27 years, Moira has been rescuing and caring for animals, fish and birds of every shape and size.  A life without animals is inconceivable for her.

It is Moira's desire to provide children, who may otherwise be denied for whatever reason, with access to and interaction with these wonderful creatures who, despite sometimes difficult circumstances, are always ready to give and receive love unconditionally.

Cherokee is a tiny, older pony who came to live with Moira's family when she was abandoned by her previous owners.  She is the cutest and dearest little horse around and loves playing with the younger horses.

Cherokee can't wait to meet you all is very happy to be doing this tour with her guests because it means that she gets extra treats every time people join her on zoom.
