Welcome to Osaka Castle! We will begin our journey at the back of the castle so that you can experience not only the moats and gates from different perspectives, but you will also get a sense of how big the Castle actually is.
I will cover the history and stories of the Castle, how it was attacked, rebuilt and attacked again.
We will walk slowly around the castle so that we can see the places were the stones were broken and shaped, check out the two amazing moats around the castle and get up and close with the timbers on the gates to talk about the Castle defense system.
At the front of the castle within the front gates is a Shrine dedicated to the Shogun, the first resident that we will visit, and talk a little bit about Shinto and the heritage it played with the Japanese people.
