Did you know that the city of Bruges, in Belgium, is a "must-see" in tourism since the 18th century? At that moment, aristocratic young men (and sometimes also young ladies) lived the so-called "Grand Tour" experience, a journey of three of four years of travel around Europe. Places like Rome, Paris, Amsterdam, or Bruges were essential to complete this "rite of passage". Are you ready to find out what it was that attracted these young adventurers so strongly? Be amazed by a place whose architecture has changed very little in the last 500 years.

1. Begin our tour on the shores of Lake Minnewater ("the Lake of Love"), with its characteristic swans.

2. Discover the 19th century brewery Halve Maan (outside).

3. Learn about the Old St. John Hospital and Our Lady Church (outside).

4. Walk along the Dijver Canal and its boats.

5. The Rozenhoedkaai, with its view of the Belfort Tower.

6. The Burg, with its historical buildings like the Town Hall and the Basilica of the Holy Blood.

Preparing for your Experience

This is a private Live Walking tour. You will be connected via Zoom and your guide will explain to you all the experiences while walking on the street. We love curious people, so the more questions and interactions you have with your guide, the better!

You need to have the software Zoom installed on your cellphone, tablet, or laptop; and also a stable internet connection, speakers, or headphones.

Also, remember always the time difference when choosing a time for your experience. We usually accept requests starting from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm (Brussels Time - CST + 1 UTC), and from Monday to Sunday.
