A small town in the Piacentino area among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy and an Orange Flag of the Italian Touring Club, overlooking the banks of the Trebbia River and at the foot of Mount Penice, Bobbio has held the title of town since 1014 and retains an exquisitely medieval aura: amidst narrow streets, stately palaces, churches and striking landscape views of the valley, it is the ideal place for those who want to breathe in the charm of yesteryear.
Bobbio is a small town in the province of Piacenza located on the left bank of the Trebbia River and at the foot of Mount Penice. It is the largest town in the Trebbia Valley and a popular tourist destination: its charming medieval village, perfectly preserved, is a treasure trove of historical evidence and artistic treasures all year round.
In addition to its palaces, churches and museums, Bobbio is worth a visit just to soak in its wonderful medieval atmosphere. The ancient village of Bobbio has maintained the characteristics of a medieval hamlet and is a succession of narrow streets, cobblestone lanes, ancient churches, stone houses and stately palaces.
